My New Job
This week I have started a new job as a barista at Tunnel City in Williamstown, MA. Before I describe it though, let me tell you about my previous job. I was the manager of a coffee shop in Albany, NY. The owner was possibly the cheapest man I have ever met. He cared nothing about the quality, just about the money. This showed in how he took care of his employees and machines. Our machines were in horrible condition. The coffee often was months old before it was used, and if something broke, it was near impossible to get him to buy a new one. So when I started my job at Tunnel City, I felt like I was in heaven.
The ownership truly loves coffee and tea, and it shows. Coffee is fresh, and roasted by the owner. The beans are selected based on tastings. Tea is premium loose leaf. Bagels are baked fresh every morning along with dozens of pastries, cookies, cakes, and candies. Everything about Tunnel City says quality.
I will be working on a triple-group head automatic Astra. The machine is in superb condition, and pulls an great shot. Overall I am looking forward to being a barista at Tunnel City.

hey there... are you still working at Tunnel City? I am hoping to get a job there when I move to williamstown during the end of the summer 07. I'm from CA, but I have stayed in will-town a couple times and love that coffee shop. I would love to know the details, when would be a good time to come in and apply? Thank you! stephdorr@gmail.com
